self-motivated and relentlessly curious Detection Engineer (M/F/D) to join the VMRay Labs Team.

Your Responsibilities

Improve VMRay's detection capabilities through the creation and maintenance of VTIs (our proprietary detection rules for malware and Phishing), URL detonation logic, Browser AutoUI rules, etc.
Take first hand responsibility in ensuring great quality of our detection code by writing unit tests, creating test sample files and URLs, and other related activities
Share ownership with the rest of the team in delivering the signatures to the customer by taking turns taking care of our release processes and related infrastructure
Implement data collection and monitoring tools to discover potential problems with existing detections and aid in the creation of new detections
Ensure maintainability of our detection code via regular code refactoring and modernization

Our Requirements

Minimal of two years of professional experience with Python
At least one or more years of experience in threat research
Familiar with JavaScript
Fluent in written and spoken English
Ability to work independently and solve problems in a solution oriented manner
Reliable and requires minimal supervision

Location

Resides in the EU ( or able to work in GMT±2:00 time zone )
